5. There will be an important meeting of the Freshman student council today after school in the cafeteria. As this meeting is about end of year activities, all members should attend.

3. Sunday started National Foreign Language Week. The first National Foreign Language Week was set in 1957 and president Dwight D. Eisenhower was the first president to endorse it. This tradition has continued ever since. Every year this week serves to highlight and honor all languages and the importance of studying a foreign language. Promoting the value of language learning is so important in our increasingly globalized society.

1. RAK Club invites you to take a photo at lunch with the PS I Love You Day Mural. This mural celebrates all of our students and their greatness. Each feather contains a special talent, characteristic or feature that we each like about ourselves and that we as a community love about you. Freshman advisories are receiving feathers for our PS I Love You mural in the Cougar cafe. 9th grade Advisory teachers are asked to have each student write on a feather a personal quality they like about themselves. For example; Kindness to others, their creativity, their music talent, their love of reading, their athletic ability, etc. Please collect the feathers and return them in your advisory folder to be used on the mural. Thank you for helping our newest Cougars be a part of our SJB tradition of celebrating your greatness. Today's daily dose of Kindness- 1 Corinthians 13 4-7 “Love is patient, love is kind. 1. All students must check that their Microphone and Camera work on their Chromebooks. If either is not working properly, please bring your Chromebook to the library. 
2. Softball Open Gym will be Monday, February 10th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM 
3. The RAK Club thanks all who placed orders for their CRUMBL cookies. For those who missed yesterday, we will take final orders today during lunch periods. Any teacher who would like to order a cookie can stop in the cougar cafe or email Ms. Fatuzzo their order. Chocolate chunk or Sugar Confetti. Ms. Fatuzzo also has contacts for Challenger Athletics in Bay Shore to be a peer coach for a special needs child or adult and Save the Great South Bay Foundation to work on environmental projects along the south shore of Long Island. Monday, September 9 - Day 1

1. There will be a meeting of the National Honor Society today in the Lace Lecture Hall immediately after school.
2. Drivers Ed Registration is Open. There are a few spots left. Forms must be in by tomorrow, Tuesday, September 10th.
