Freshman advisories are receiving feathers for our PS I Love You mural in the Cougar cafe. 9th grade Advisory teachers are asked to have each student write on a feather a personal quality they like about themselves. For example; Kindness to others, their creativity, their music talent, their love of reading, their athletic ability, etc. Please collect the feathers and return them in your advisory folder to be used on the mural. Student Council is collecting items for the "Souper Bowl" until 2/5 for the Gerald Ryan Outreach Center. Our goal this year is 2,025 food items. If we reach our goal we will receive a remote day on February 10th, the day after the Super Bowl.
We will be collecting the food in advisory. The advisory with the most in each grade level will win a bagel breakfast!!! The items that are most in need are Soup, Tuna Fish, cereal, Kraft's Mac and Cheese, Peanut Butter and Jelly, rice, beans

The RAK Club will deliver your holiday greetings to those who are alone or in special care at Christmas time.

There are Service opportunities in the coming weeks in the North Babylon community. You can sign up with Ms. Fatuzzo in the STARS /Guidance office. Projects include Saturdays at the North Babylon Food Pantry or Pantry Garden, Wednesday evenings at Emma's Table, serving meals to the lonely, disabled or homeless. Ms. Fatuzzo also has contacts for Challenger Athletics in Bay Shore to be a peer coach for a special needs child or adult and Save the Great South Bay Foundation to work on environmental projects along the south shore of Long Island. Stop in the STARS office at lunch or after school or email Ms. Fatuzzo for info.
