MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

 Thursday, December 12, 2019, Day 4

1. The Performing Arts Department has teamed up with Campus Ministry to run a coat drive for the Gerald Ryan Outreach Center of Wyandanch.  The outreach center is in need of coats for all ages (male & female) , hoodies, and sweaters. Donations can be brought to the Winter Concert tonight  at 7pm.

2. The SJB Toy Drive will be going on all week.  Please bring any unwrapped toy for children ages 2-12 Collections bins will be in the back lobby."  

3. Auditions for the Spring Musical, The Wiz, will be held this Saturday, December 14 beginning at 10 am. Full details are posted on the Spring Musical’s Google Classroom page. Students who would like to be added to the Musical’s Google Classroom should see Mr. Whitfield in Room 202 immediately.

4. Any student who would like to help at the Mass on Friday December 20th or the Christmas Eve Mass should sign up in Campus Ministry.  We need readers, Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Servers and Ushers.  

5. Any SENIOR girl or boy who wish to model in the Fashion Show, you may only sign up during your lunch periods. Sign-up sheets are in the Main Office.

6. SJB Dance Company will be hosting a Holiday Bake Sale this Friday, 12/13 during all lunch periods.  Items will be $1.00 each. Proceeds will help Dance Company with their upcoming performance at Carnegie Hall.  Thank you for your support.  

7. Please be attentive to this very important announcement – There will be no after school activities or sports on Thursday, December 19th.  The building will be closed from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  All students must take their regular bus home. If you do not have bus transportation, you must be picked-up by 3:00 p.m.  There are no late buses.

8. Friday, December 20th is a FULL DAY OF SCHOOL 

9. Attention students wanting to complete Christian witness, plastic bottles still need to be sorted after school ASAP. Make sure to check with your religion teacher if they will accept bottle sorting as Christian witness hours. Please see Mrs. Martinez Murphy in room 112 if you are interested.

10. Any student who would like to help deliver toys from the toy drive to the Gerald Ryan Outreach Center in Wyandanch tomorrow after school from 3pm to about 7pm should pick up a permission slip in Campus Ministry today.  

11.  Tomorrow is the last day to bring in forms and deposits for the Alaska trip.   

12.  Mrs. Luhmann’s morality classes please bring your textbook to class. 

13. There will be a Global Ambassador Club meeting today, after school, at 3pm in room 311
